Our Story

Six ducklings.
One big love story.

In April 2024, we brought home six tiny ducklings from Dunlap Hatchery โ€” and completely lost our hearts. We added more adults in 2025, and then two of our Blue Swedish hens went broody and hatched 13 ducklings all on their own. Now our flock of 21 โ€” Blue Swedish, Black Swedish, Rouen, and Cayuga โ€” free-ranges across our ยฝ-acre Boise property.

Every morning is an egg hunt. Our ducks lay wherever they please: tucked under herbs, nestled in flowers, jidden in the most creative spots. We love every second of it.

Free Range & Happy

Our 21 ducks roam freely across a half-acre Boise homestead โ€” foraging, swimming, and hiding eggs in the herb garden just to keep us on our toes.

Seasonally Fresh

Duck eggs are nature's seasonal gem โ€” available late spring through fall. Every morning we update the inventory so you always know what's fresh.

Family Raised

The Meyer family has tended this flock since 2024. These aren't just ducks โ€” they're part of our family, and you can taste that care in every single egg.

Got Questions?

Everything You Need to Know

How does pickup work?

Order through our website and pay online, then come pick up at our farm: 3265 South Heritage Avenue, Boise, Idaho 83642. We'll confirm your pickup time by email. It's simple, relaxed, and you might even get to meet a duck.

Do you ship eggs?

We don't ship โ€” eggs are best fresh, and we're a small family farm. Local pickup only in the Boise, Idaho area. We think it's worth the drive.

When are eggs available?

Duck eggs are seasonal โ€” our flock lays late spring through fall (roughly April through October). Chicken eggs are available more consistently. We update inventory every single morning, so the website always reflects what's actually on hand.

Are the eggs washed?

You can choose! Washed eggs are cleaned and ready to go in the fridge. Unwashed eggs (with their natural protective bloom intact) have a longer shelf life and can be kept at room temperature for a few weeks. Fair warning: ducks lay wherever they please, so unwashed eggs may be a little earthy. That's part of their charm.

What breeds do your ducks come from?

Our flock includes Blue Swedish, Black Swedish, Rouen, and Cayuga ducks โ€” all heritage breeds known for their calm temperament and beautiful eggs. Our first six came home from Dunlap Hatchery in April 2024.

How are your ducks raised?

Our 21 ducks free-range on our ยฝ-acre Boise property. They eat a high-protein all-flock feed plus cracked corn, freeze-dried black fly larvae, and whatever they forage from the yard. They have a pond, a garden to explore, and a duck house we lovingly call The Quack Shack.
