About Farm Fresh Duck Eggs
Our duck eggs are the real thing — gathered every morning from 21 free-ranging ducks (Blue Swedish, Black Swedish, Rouen, and Cayuga) who spend their days waddling through the herb garden, splashing in the pond, and hiding their eggs in the most creative spots they can find.
Every morning is an egg hunt. Every egg is a small miracle.
Why duck eggs?
- Larger yolk-to-white ratio — richer, more complex flavor in everything you cook
- Higher fat content — makes baked goods (cakes, pastries, pasta) dramatically more tender and fluffy
- More omega-3s and vitamin D than conventional grocery store eggs
- Thicker shells mean longer shelf life — they keep beautifully
- Beautiful pale blue-green shells — the Cayuga girls sometimes lay charcoal-black eggs early in the season
Seasonal availability
Our ducks are seasonal layers — eggs are available late spring through fall (roughly April through October), as nature intended. We update availability every single morning. When they're in stock, grab them — they go fast.
Washed or unwashed?
We offer both. Washed eggs are cleaned and fridge-ready. Unwashed eggs have their natural protective bloom intact, can be stored at room temperature, and have a longer shelf life — though they'll be a bit earthy since our ducks lay wherever they please. That's part of the charm.

Washed vs. Unwashed — What’s the Difference?
Washed Eggs
We gently clean each egg to remove any debris. Once washed, the egg’s natural protective coating (the “bloom”) is removed, so refrigerate immediately and use within 3–4 weeks. This is the standard you’re used to from the grocery store.
Unwashed Eggs
Eggs leave the hen with a natural “bloom” that seals the pores and keeps bacteria out. When left unwashed, eggs can be stored at room temperature for up to 2–3 weeks — or refrigerated for up to 3 months. Popular with bakers and home cooks.
